The Bela LAB microneedle patches are the evolution of conventional patches, providing even more benefits than their predecessors. They use the technology of the microneedles penetrating directly to the deepest layers of the skin, and as a result, achieving maximum efficiency in each application.
The microneedles, based on polymers, are manufactured by a polydimethylsiloxane micromolding process (PDMS). In it, the polymer solution is poured, in this case, Hyaluronate Acid (HA) of 1.2 MDa.
After removing the solvent (H2O) by evaporation and crosslinking reaction, the hyaluronic acid remains in the form of the microneedle mold.
The mechanism of action of the patch is based on the microneedles and hyaluronic acid.
The microneedles provoke a mechanical response since, when entering the superficial skin, they cause a slight inflammation of the cutaneous tissue. This active inflammation, induced by the TNF-alpha protein, makes increasing the blood supply, stimulates the synthesis of elastin and collagen.
Once the needles puncture the epidermal layer of the skin, the hyaluronic acid degrades, thanks to the temperature and humidity of the skin, and will be easily absorbed, thus exerting its moisturizing and antioxidant properties.
High density patch
The patch is formed by a microneedle array, with a concentration of 400 microneedles / cm² of 300 microns.
Low density patch
The patch is formed by a microneedle array, with a concentration of 64 microneedles / cm² with a length of 350 micrometers
